Lets Catch Up....

Bo is 6 weeks old!!! I can't believe we are both still alive. I sure am grateful for family, friends, doctors, zantac, boobs that can feed my baby, girdles, designer maternity jeans that I still have to wear, Sonic slushees, burp cloths, disposable diapers, a washing machine, great make-up, and an awesome husband that deals with my snappiness.

Milestones for Bo recently are not projectile vomiting on me since last Friday, he recognizes me and smiles big when he sees my face, he is starting to talk to me, he is sleeping very well and adjusting to the schedule I am trying to put him on. I am completely and totally in love with him and can't stop staring at this little human that Kyle and I didn't have to try very hard to create. It blows my mind.

So lets get to the point of this Blog here....

While I was pregnant and gaining about a pound a day, everyone kept telling me "Don't worry, you will bounce right back after the baby"... Well, I don't recall being 160 lbs, face full of acne and random Grandma hairs on my chin, my stomach looking like I was attacked by a racoon from my lovely stretch marks, wierd cellulite in weird places, and waking up in puddles of breastmilk in the middle of the night. So I am going to organize something that is going to help me feel better about myself and give me something to look forward to. I am organizing a half marathon that will take place in October of this year. It will be an annual tradition. The fall-a-thon. I would love anyone and everyone to run this with me. There will be fabulous post-race food and it will be an all around good time! There is no cost, but I will make t-shirts that will be available for purchase.

There are 6 months till the race, so no excuses on why you cant do this. Even if you don't have legs, you can bring a wheelchair. I trained from 0 experience to a half-marathon in 13 weeks. I am giving everyone 25 weeks to get ready for it!!! I want everyone I love to be there running with me!

It is going to be on the Jordan River Parkway trail starting at 9000 S. and continuing up the trail to a designated halfway point where we will turn around and run back. This is a fabulous run in the fall and is amazingly beautiful! The leaves changing are stunning, and the temperature is nice. I did this 2 years ago and can't wait to make this a tradition for all!

Please JOIN IN ON THE FUN! LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE IN!!!

It is so true about all your motherhood blissness. I would love to shed my baby weight and it has been over a year for me. I can say I didn't get any strecth marks. How much is this fall-a-thon and what do I have to do to train for it?

I WANT TO DO IT TOO!! THIS IS GREAT MOTIVATION. I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN ABOUT BOUNCING BACK, ALL THE GIRLS I TALKED TO SAID, "I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING, I JUST BREAST FED AND ATE WHATEVER I WANTED." I TRIED THAT METHOD AND IT WAS NOT WORKING!!!!!! I STARTED WORKING OUT AND EATING SUPER HEALTHY, I'M SEEING SOME RESULTS. BUT MY FRIEND GAVE ME THIS GREAT WORK OUT VIDEO BY TRACY ANDERSON (THE POST PARTUM WORKOUT) AND I LOVE IT, YOU SHOULD CHECK IT OUT. I LOVE YOU AND CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU AND BO!!!!
P.S. SORRY ABOUT THE SUPER LONG COMMENT.
