Kyle's addition to our blog

I had class tonight at the U. Each student was required to do a presentation on our research projects. I was the second person to go so after that I got real bored and tinkered with photoshop. Click to enlarge.

I am trying this out....

I am not quite sure what Paul was thinking when he posed for this picture, but it was probably something like... "I am going to kill you"

Stuck in 1997....

Sorry everyone for the delay of the new post, my internet connection was TERRIBLE the past couple of days. I would sit for what seemed like an eternity waiting for a page to load up! The only thing missing was that awful sound of static coming from the modem, and a little brother or sister picking up the telephone cutting off all connection from your AOL Chat room.
I was even more upset about it when I found out it was because Kyle was illegally downloading a bunch of stuff and that is what was tying up the computer!!!

Anyways, Easter was absolutely wonderful!!! We had a birthday party and easter egg hunt with my family on Saturday, and Sunday was great. I taught the lesson in young womens which went well, and after church we just lounged. We enjoyed Easter dinner with my family, my aunt Leanne's family and my Grandma. TONS of great food and lots of fun! After, we went to Kyle's parents house to find everyone had already gone:( It was still fun to chat with Patti and Lynn.

I am so glad that the weather was nice and sunny!!! I will post pics on my blogs soon hopefully.
I need to figure it out first!

JOBS!

So Kyle and I have both had exciting things at our jobs happen this week! The principal at Kyle's work asked to talk with him about next year, and when Kyle met with him, he asked him to come back and teach next year, and to be the head of the special ed department!!!!! We are sooooo excited about this. It gives Kyle a great opportunity to advance a little more in his career, and it really shows him how much his school appreciates having him there. I am so proud of him and his career choice. I know that this is what he is supposed to be doing!

Now for me, I had a meeting with the owner of my salon yesterday, and she asked me if I would be willing to go to New York again to the Bumble and Bumble headquarters and take another class from them to bring back info and new techniques to the salon! I was so excited! They are sending me in August, and Kyle is most likely going to come out the last day of my training and we will both stay for a few days after that to enjoy some parts of NYC that we haven't been able to before (broadway shows, museums, more shopping, etc...) I am really excited to go again and to learn. It always helps me to get a little more excited about my job!!! What was funny about the whole meeting is she kept telling me what a big commitment it was for them to send me, and they expected the same from me. this kept happening through the conversation when I finally said "Well I am not planning on leaving" when this kept going on, I finally realized OH, YOU WANT TO KNOW IF I AM PLANNING ON HAVING A BABY!!!! She admitted that was what she was trying to hint at, and I assured her that wasn't in the plans for at least another year! It was just funny!
Well, I am off to take the dogs for a nice SPRING walk and enjoy the nice morning!

Conkles (coughs and ankles)

I guess when things are really good, something bad is bound to happen. I have a terrible dry cough that really kicks in at 11:00 P.M. and kept me up all night, and Kyle sprained his ankle on sunday playing basketball with Nick and my dad. I guess we will just try to take it easy tonight and relax. I can't wait for Easter weekend! I am giving the lesson in young womens on sunday and hope they enjoy it. I wish it was going to be 70 degrees! I hope that we don't let a bum ankle and a sore throat keep us locked up.

Getting started....

So okay, I am trying to get hip and comfortable with the idea of having pictures and personal info about me floating around in cyberspace. Oh, and I didn't ask Kyle if he was okay about it, but I feel like we will fit in a little better if I can tell people that I actually have a blog. How EXCITING!!!
Our lives are pretty busy, so I have a bad feeling about this being one more project I get myself into, but that I don't keep up on! I will try to keep you all posted on anything exciting though!

Just a little about us in case you don't know....

Kyle and I have been married for 3 1/2 years!!! I can't believe it! And it has been FANTASTIC!
We have done so much together in this time together, and we feel so accomplished! We have traveled all over, bought a home, quickly and almost successfully got Kyle graduated from college, started great careers, and are raising a wiener dog. Time HAS FLOWN!!!!!

I work and a salon/dayspa doing hair I have worked there for 4 years and I still love it. Some days are hard on the body though. Mostly because I won't EVER give up my 3-4 inch heels. And really I don't care if I have to start being pushed around in a wheelchair in 5 years because my ankles have given out on me.

Kyle works at a small private school called USC @ WOODLAND HILLS. He LOVES it, and he is an amazing teacher! His kids absolutely love him, and think he is the greatest! He is still in school, and will graduate in MAY... PTL! I am so excited for him to be done!

We have a son named Paul.... (the dog) and he is on steroids right now because of a hurt spine. So he is pretty much mean to other dogs and little children all the time now. I still love him though. And he is beefing up.

That is all I will tell you about for now so that I will have other things to write about in future entries.
