BO'S BIG 1

I was NOT going to do a big party and such for Bo's 1st birthday. I was going to spend the day at the spa and reward myself for a job well done for the year. But, I saw an idea and ran with it. I could not stop once I started, and it ended up being a big ordeal. Which is fine with me. I love throwing parties. Big parties. And, I think Bo will be grateful one day looking back on this. Okay, probably not, but at least I will.

Here are some great pictures of the event!

Out went the invites:

from Beginning to One...

W.O.W. What do I say? This past year has been so amazing, challenging, rewarding, terrifying, fun, crazy, happy, sad, nerve racking, loving...pretty emotional. I have felt more in this past year then I have in my whole life. One year ago, I was laying in a bed at IMC hospital. I felt like I had been hit by a train, then ran over by a semi-truck. I could barely even open my eyes and could not stand on my own, but something had taken over. Something pretty great. I had just given birth not only to a healthy baby boy, but to my mother-self.
Those first few days were surreal, the first few weeks a challenge, and the rest a blur. It went by too fast, and I knew it would. I have told myself every day for 365 days; "this time is so short, enjoy every second." I am so glad I lived by that this year. I have tried my best to not get upset over little things, not get too wrapped up in what someone else said was the best thing to do, to spend as much time as humanly possible to teach and play with BO side by side, to show him what life with Kyle and I is all about, and most of all to love my little mr. man.
Being a mom wouldn't be as cool if it wasn't to BO. He is the best. Period.
