Forever

I think I am going to be pregnant for the rest of my life. That is what it feels like anyway. I have been really enjoying my maternity leave. It has given me time to get a lot done. Things like sitting on the couch, going to mom's to eat and watch TV, wander around the neighborhood, make phone calls, watch the Olympics, re-organize things, go to mexican restaurants by myself, spend hours on the internet. Really important things like that. I am happy to say that my feet and ankles have returned to an almost normal state though, and so has my sanity. Work was getting to be a little challenging. But mostly because I had 2 outfits I could still fit into. I seriously don't know what day it is most of the time. It just feels like the day after yesterday. I have tried having a few conversations with Bo about making an entrance into this world, but I think he is a true creature of comfort and is having a great time in utero. I am starting to shake things up a bit though. I ate a very spicy lunch yesterday and curb walked for 40 mins to try to get him to wiggle down a little. I ended up feeling like I got hit by a train this morning though with a terrible upset stomach, and feeling like my legs were no longer attached to my body.
So, I ate a piece of leftover cake for breakfast.

My paper doll holding the countdown to Bo chain. This was a week ago. I am still holding on to 1 chain though waiting for the big day!

"Birth"days.

Yesterday was my birthday. It was awesome! I seriously thought little mister was going to come, but he was such a good boy and obeyed me when I said he couldn't do that! I went and did a little shopping with mom. We went to lunch at Cheesecake factory with G-ma D which is always amazing. I shared a cheesecake with Bo, and I honestly cannot think of the last time I ate an entire piece all on my own. It really was so fulfilling. Kyle came home with a sweet note for me, and beautiful roses that smelled so good. I told him I wanted a shopping spree when I lost the 50 lbs I have gained for my birthday. Kyles parents took us out to dinner at Settabello. It was delicious, and I stuffed myself there as well. When we got home we had a "heart attack" with a big poster on our door, and treats on our front porch! It was soooo adorable! I had awful heartburn all night that forced me to wake up every hour and take tums. Went to the doctor this morning, and was dilated to a 1+ and 75% effaced! Yay, more progress! And the even better news.... I have lost weight! Even after that piece of cheesecake, chicken salad sandwich, salad, chicken tortilla soup, entire personal pizza, 2 flavors of gelato, and a package of fruit snacks I ate yesterday. A big part of that is the swelling is going down. I am so glad. Now that I am not working, I don't mind too much when he comes. I know at some point he will. So now I just get to continue to get lots of rest for the big day!

Waiting...

Update! I am still pregnant. We took Paul to Idaho last weekend and the family was so excited to get him for their lonely dad/grandpa. We didn't stick around to meet them, but that was mostly because I was in hysterics by that point sobbing and crying my eyes out. On the way home, after both of us finally settling down, a rock flew up and hit our windshield. Cracked it a good 3 inches. By the time we got home, it was about 8 inches. Kyle and I just laughed. On SuperSarah Sunday, we had an amazing feast of lots of Mexican food to get things moving along and to celebrate my birthday and Bo's birthday. Oh, and watch a football game. All that did was put my bowels in total uproar, and I was so ill, I could hardly move around. That night, Kyle went to Instacare for the second time in a week, and they told him his virus had turned into an ear infection. Great. Monday, mom calls me, and lets me know she has pneumonia. Great. They are both on medication now, and I threatened them to get better because they are probably causing Bo to stay in longer. I felt really really good Monday and Tuesday... too good. I hope it is the calm before the storm. I have been able to get a lot done though. The list never ends! Here are some adorable pictures of Bo's room!!! I have finally got things all together in there! I love his little room so much and can't wait to have him here to enjoy it.

Where little man will eat and get clean

Where little man will read

Mom and dad made these valances for the windows! I love them!

I can't wait to see a cute little body in this bed. I made this doxie pillow
to watch over him!

Here are some of my favorite things in his room:

I love this quilt my mom made us to cuddle in.

38 weeks...

Dilated to a 1. 50 % effaced! Yay for Bo. He is being a good boy and listening to his momma. I can't wait for this little guy! Kyle and I are driving to Idaho tonight to hopefully place Paul in a new home with an older man. This older man recently had his wife and little doxie of his own die. So Sad! A foster program for dogs called us and wanted to know if it would be all right to bring Paul up to them and if we thought this would be a good match for Paul. We thought this was the answer to our prayers for little Paulie. I let them know that he and Kyle are the best of friends, and that he would be a great match for a single old man who won't jump in his face and scream at the top of his lungs. So, we are going on a road trip to stay with Aunt Donna tonight in Pocatello. We are so excited to see her and Uncle Glen, and then on to Soda Springs tomorrow morning to drop of and cry our eyes out with little Paul. Wish us luck! What if I go into labor?

Paul

I am devastated!!! Our favorite little wiener dog Paul must find a new home. I can hardly even write this I am so sad. He scratched a little girl that I was watching today on the face. He was laying by my feet trying to protect me, and the little girl was on the floor and jumped towards him causing him to attack. This is not the first time this has happened, and we decided that this is Paul's nature, to protect Kyle and I no matter who he hurts in the process of doing that. We worry about having him around our little addition and not being able to trust him with Bo or later on Bo's friends that come over. Paul really has been the best dog in the whole world. We love him so so much, so we are going to have a going away party for him when we find a loving home (preferably without young children) to love him. Let us know if there is anyone you know that would love to adopt this fabulous animal!
