I am writing this post to publicly thank Paul the Large Weener Dog. (He used to be know as "Paul the Small Dog" but it no longer seems appropriate thanks to the addition of Penny the Puppy Weener Dog to our family. Tonight we (Sarah, Kyle, Paul, and Penny) were fortunate enough to visit our local Wal-Mart (it was way tight). We arrived home about 10:30 pm and climbed out of the car as usual. The dogs generally just run straight to the door and wait for us to let them in. Tonight Paul didn't want to come in and was sniffing around the side of our house and trying to get our attention. After calling his name 54 times, Sarah walked over to see what he was inspecting. Turns out he had spotted a freshwater spring in our yard. Something went wrong with our sprinkler system and water was bubbling up from a cracked pipe at the rate of 392 gallons per minute. If our little hero hadn't pulled a Lassie, our basement would have flooded and I would have had no other choice but to kill myself. Paul the Hero is going to receive the royal treatment tomorrow, which includes:
* Being allowed to sleep in our bed
* Hundreds of pounds of crispy bacon
* Being allowed to lick his own genitals with us yelling "Paul stop!"
* Picking whatever Halloween costume he wants from Shopko
* Going the whole day without being told that his legs are disproportionately short
Thanks Paul the Large Weener Dog. You will forever be known as a hero !

HAHAHAHAHA OH my gosh that was hillarious. You forgot to mention that our gratitude to Paul for saving our little apartment from being filled with water is that he is allowed to eat shelbies chest hair for one more day.
That dog is amazing. Target also has some great Halloween costumes. So if he doesn't find one he likes at Shopko, take him to Target, there may be something there he fancies.
All dogs go to heaven and it looks like Paul just proved why. Go Paul!
Tell Paul Grandma has a treat for him too and Grandpa will let him bump into his legs twice instead of once with his wet nose. Good Boy Pauly!
It's too bad Paul wasn't around our house fifteen years ago when our flooded basement forced our father to take a hammer to the sprinkler system controls.
I just need to reiterate what wonderful little animals you have living in your home.
Oh! Thanks PAUL!!!!! Love him.
